Where Did It All Begin?
The family firm, which began in 1987, expanded from small beginnings of one dual purpose vehicle to its present level of 20 services buses and 8 touring coaches.
Hatton's service buses are used on many routes in the area carrying shoppers and workers around the Borough and surrounding areas. They are also used for taking pupils to and from school.
The coaches are hired for all occasions from days out by local schools and organizations through to continental tours.
We are proud that all of our coaches have 'extra' legroom and include:-
Six 49-seat Executive Coaches, most featuring small seat back tables, full / half leather seats, washroom and toilet, microwave, 240 volt power point air conditioning, hot and cold drinks facilities as well as a CD/Radio/DVD player.
One 41-seat Executive Coaches, Tables, full leather seats, washroom and toilet, microwave, 240 volt power point air conditioning, hot and cold drinks facilities as well as a CD/Radio/DVD player.
One 47-seat wheelchair adapted Executive Coach, full leather seats, small seat back tables, washroom and toilet, microwave, 240 volt power point, air conditioning, hot and cold drinks facilities as well as a CD/Radio/DVD player. This vehicle has a wheelchair lift.
As a company who has expanded rapidly over the years we have made a number of exciting changes to ensure a better environment for our customers.
In January 2015, we acquired Ashton’s Coaches, a company which provided coach holidays and coach hire. This has led to a huge expansion in our business and allows us to a greater range of services and excursions to our customers.
Also in 2015, we opened a brand new office situated on Barrow Street in the middle of St Helens Town Centre. This has provided our customers to meet us in person and discuss their holiday requirements with Debbie and Deborah face-to-face.
In 2016, our coach and bus operations depot moved to larger premises in Haydock, just off the East Lancs road. This also helped with the expansion of the company and the touring side of our operations.
